Summit mulls “State of the Connected Vehicle”

Boxee adding RoxioNow paid content service

Boxee said in January that it planned to add paid content options to its Boxee media-streaming software. This week, the company revealed that it has licensed Sonic’s “RoxioNow” entertainment platform, and is busy integrating it into Boxee.

D-Link Boxee Box due in November

Boxee announced on its blog this week that D-Link now plans to begin shipping its DM-380 Boxee Box this November in the US and Canada. D-Link initially said its device would be ready by the end of Q2, Boxee added.

Boxee embraces paid content

Now don’t get all hot and bothered. After all, Netflix instant video streaming has been one of the most asked-for capabilities among the Boxee A/V platform’s early adopters. Soon, a host of additional PPV (pay per view) and subscription-based A/V content may be streaming to consumer TVs via Boxee.
