S.F. Bay Area consumer expo showcases green vehicles
Last updated Oct 4, 2010 — 4 viewsClaimed to be the San Francisco Bay Area’s first consumer event dedicated to electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and other high-tech, eco-friendly vehicles, the Green Drive Expo takes place October 9 in Richmond, Calif. Attendees will see — and have the opportunity to test drive — many of the latest fuel-efficient and clean-energy vehicles, say the event’s organizers.
In addition to showcasing vehicles powered by ethanol, biodiesel, natural gas, hydrogen, and electric batteries, the one-day event promises “lively presentations on the full spectrum of green and clean vehicles from experts and enthusiasts.”
As event organizers put it, “attendees will learn where, when, and how they can expect to purchase the hottest eco-friendly vehicles, the latest on consumer incentives for clean cars, and updates on alternative fuel technologies.” Talks by expert speakers will also address “pressing climate legislation and the future of green vehicles.”
The event’s keynote talk, entitled “Dawn of a New EV Era,” will be presented by Chelsea Sexton of “Who Killed the Electric Car?” fame.
Other talks and panel discussions discuss:
- Toyota’s Green Car Future
- Ford’s Electrification Strategy: “Charging into the Future”
- Real-life Experiences of EV Drivers
